TRUECARE International Healthcare Academy
Institute for nurse training
Welcome
to the homepage of the “TRUECARE International Healthcare Academy” in Manila.
Please feel free to browse our site and find out more about the specialist training on offer as preparation for the theoretical examination in Germany.
Our academy for nurse training is a cut above the rest, thanks to our staff members’ distinguished nursing expertise and the exceptional level of training provided. Not only do we provide our nursing students with expert training, but we also develop their understanding of what the nursing profession involves and tailor learning opportunities to the student.
As a prospective employer, you can make the most of our holistic approach to teaching, as well as the years’ worth of clinical experience held by our teachers. Our objective: to provide nursing staff with the best practical and theoretical training possible to enable them to become recognised as a nurse in Germany after taking the theoretical examination. This is provided after nursing staff have passed the language training element (graduating with a B2 level as per telc/ÖSD [Österreichisches Sprach-Diplom, Austrian Language Diploma]).
The result: substantial benefits for both nursing staff and employers in terms of quality and finances. For one thing, there’s no wasted time whilst waiting for a visa to be issued. Rather, nursing staff will spend this period taking part in intensive language training and development. And for another thing, the process of being recognised as a nurse in Germany is significantly shortened thanks to the preparation provided in the staff’s home country. As nursing staff will be recognised as professionals earlier, they will have increased earning potential, whilst employers can reap the benefits by saving on costs.
TRAINING OVERVIEW
Nursing staff will attend 8 hours of lessons per day over a period of 8 weeks whilst still in the Philippines. Each lesson lasts 45 minutes. To supplement their learning in class, our students will also have the option of consolidating their newly-acquired skills with our very own e-learning programme.
Classes involve role plays of real-life nursing situations in order to ensure that our students have both the nursing capabilities and language skills (consultation, positioning, preventative treatment, mobilisation etc.). Interim reports can be created with information on individual nursing students’ learning status and provided to new employers as required.
As training is coming to an end (during the last week of lessons), candidates will take a mock exam which involves completing both oral and practical elements in front of our teachers, including a practice-oriented case study. Individual talks are then held with our graduates to discuss their prospects based on how the teaching staff have assessed their potential.
Educational approach
Our communicative approach to education is a firm cornerstone of our teaching concept. As much of the teaching content is primarily fact-based, we aim to involve students in the learning process predominantly through work in small groups using an andragogical method involving the use of dialogue (e.g. subject-specific teaching stations). One of the overriding objectives of this process is to encourage students to act independently when it comes to nursing.
Outcomes are presented back to the class in individual/group presentations. Speakers can obtain feedback which will allow them to directly improve their performance. They’ll learn to work as a group, give joint feedback and deal with criticism. This collective learning experience will improve students’ self-awareness as nurses, broaden their areas of nursing activity and encourage them to be motivated.
